How to Use the Pay Calculator
- Enter your starting wage in dollars (e.g., 50000 for $50,000).
- Input your current age and the age you plan to retire.
- Specify a default annual raise percentage that applies each year unless overridden.
- Click “Add Custom Raises for Any Age” to set specific raise percentages for any year. These apply from that age onward until another custom raise is set.
- Click “Calculate” to view a table with your age, year, salary, and raise percentage each year until retirement.
- The table and custom raise fields update automatically if you change the current age or retirement age.
- Click “More Calculations” to reveal additional options, then use “Toggle PSERS Calculator” to add or remove the PSERS section. Enter your start date, select your investment option (e.g., T-G), and input your initial salary. Click “Calculate PSERS” to see your projected retirement benefits, including a row with the pay calculator’s salary progression alongside the PSERS benefits.
